Metal
Metallic materials are core 3D printing materials for manufacturing high-strength, high-temperature-resistant functional components, primarily formed via SLM (Selective Laser Melting) or EBM (Electron Beam Melting) processes. With a typical layer thickness of 20–50μm, they achieve near 100% density. Titanium alloys (e.g., Ti-6Al-4V) have tensile strength exceeding 900MPa; stainless steel 316L offers excellent corrosion resistance; aluminum alloy AlSi10Mg is lightweight (density 2.68g/cm³); nickel-based superalloys (e.g., Inconel 718) withstand temperatures above 1000℃. Suitable for aero engine components, medical implants, and precision automotive parts, they require specialized metal 3D printers (e.g., EOS M series), with post-printing heat treatment needed to relieve internal stress.
