ABS

ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene), a common thermoplastic for 3D printing, typically requires a printing temperature of 220–260°C and a heated bed (50–100°C) in an enclosed environment to reduce warping and deformation. With a shrinkage rate of 0.4%–0.9%, it produces smooth surfaces that can be sanded or painted. Its printed parts offer high strength (tensile strength 40–50MPa), impact resistance, and good heat resistance (long-term use at 70–105°C), making it suitable for structural components, functional prototypes, and models requiring robust mechanical properties. However, it emits a slight odor during printing and is less eco-friendly than PLA, so proper ventilation is advised.
